The Thumb & Hammer DIY Forum is powered by Lussumo Vanilla which is a little different than other forums.  Instead of "Topics" and "Posts", this forum has "Discussions" and "Comments."  Discussions with the most recent comments are moved to the top of the index.  Discussions are organized into categories, but unlike other forums, all discussions show up in a single index.  No need to jump around .  And you can still sort posts by category if you wish. 

Membership

Non-members are welcome to browse the forum.  However, in order to participate in discussions or start new discussions, you will have to sign up.  It only takes a couple of seconds:  simply select a username and a password and you will be granted immediate access to the forum.

Features

Here is a short list of just some of the features on this forum:

• Ability to upload pictures and attachments to your discussions and comments directly to our server.
• Ability to bookmark specific discussions.
• The forum will remember discussions started by you.
• The forum will display the number of comments added to a discussion since your last log-in.
• You may subscribe to the forum or to individual discussions to be notified when new comments are added.
• You may also choose RSS or Atom feeds.
• URLs are automatically hyperlinked within posts (http://your_link.com)
• Typing "/me" will display your username and link to your personal profile within a post.
• You may add whatever custom information you wish to your personal profile.
• As a nice little bonus, you also have a simple personal "to-do list"

The Lussumo Vanilla community is very active and new features are being added and updated all the time.

Very simply:  No spam or offensive content (hate, xxx, etc). 

The administrator reserves the right to edit or remove any discussions or comments that are in violation of the spirit of this community, although this right will only be exercised in extreme circumstances.
