In what is becoming a yearly tradition, our driveway is once again graced with the presence of a rubbish bin. Now I can easily get rid of the piles of debris in the basement and finish ripping up the tile and hardwood in the old ensuite– basically finishing the work I did last summer. My ambition at this point is to have the bin hauled away by Friday, which is the same day I am hoping to get the ball rolling on the heating upgrade. Today, I loaded about 8 large railway ties into the bin. The ties were used as a raised garden bed in front of the old wood front porch. I still have the rest of the cast concrete porch to get rid of, as well as some other debris, but I should be able to call in a masonry specialist next week to repair and re-point any damages to the brick or block.
The bin is back
