Bathroom 90% gutted

Thursday, July 6, 2006

The last of the gypsum board in the bathroom is gone. The exterior walls and the ceiling joists all appear to be in good shape. I am definitely feeling more positive today than I was yesterday. All that remains in the bathroom now is the floor tile and the hardwood flooring. The tile is coming up without much difficulty, and I think once I get the hardwood started, it, too, should come up fairly easily. So I should be starting on the basement this weekend. That should be a breeze compared to the bathroom…. It’s just a suspended ceiling and the walls are 4×8 sheets of half inch drywall. Plus there’s the added bonus of having a lot more room to work. (sorry, no pics today).
